There’s so many reasons why you’ll be missing out if you don’t go to 360|Flex next month. If you’ve thought about it, you need to just do it. Here’s several just to whet your appetite:

Reason 1: A plethora of content for Flash Platform and Flex developers. Not only is it good content, but it’s relevant to the current state of tech. For instance, I’ll be doing a session on building ActionScript applications for the iPad to go with the recent announcement of AIR 2.6. With all the sessions I know of, I can guarantee that if you pay attention while you’re at 360 your head will be exploding with fun, useful, and interesting knowledge by the time you leave. If you don’t believe me, check out the schedule.

Reason 2: Not only is 360|Flex full of outstanding sessions and speakers, but it’s also a perfect place to talk about stuff that interests you with like-minded peers.  I’ll be moderating a birds of a feather session “Open Screen Project: Views from the Trenches” on Tuesday evening through RMAUG.  I’m looking forward to this BOF, and we’ve got an outstanding lineup of speakers waiting to talk to you about Flash Platform development across all devices:

Reason 3: It’s not all tech.  Yeah, you will learn.  Yeah, you’ll be overloaded with new knowledge by the time you leave. One of the best things about 360|Flex is John Wilker has kept it from growing so large that you can’t ever find your peeps like some of the other conferences I’ve been to – CES, SXSW, Adobe MAX – and that’s a good thing.  I’ve gone to every 360|Flex in the USA since 360|Flex Seattle in 2007.  I don’t see myself ever wanting to stop going.  There’s so many cool, laid back people to meet – both Wilkers included – and it’s always good to hang with them each time I return to 360|Flex.  Just think of 360|Flex as a yearly family reunion for the Flex community.

Any chance the 360/Flex conference will make it to San Diego?

Not physically this year. All the sessions are recorded and made available afterwards though.
